Really I’m so proud of being part of this talented community, I’m Samira Magdy Founder of Ghagaria for Handwoven scarf, Shawls, beaded  & crochet items. when I was 20s I dreamt about my gallery for handmade items, my father was supporting me  to take this huge step and have my own business while I were so young but I started to be an employee for a corporate and all people around told me don’t do this right now “صاحب بالين كداب” focus on ur job, your career and your dream  could be reached at any point of time , I kept my dream since. and 6 years ago I decided to establish my Brand “Ghagaria”

Now Ghagaria is online and in some Retail stores as well

Our staff are all handmade, done with passion and care. Our scarf and Shawl all are handwoven in upper EGYPT, for crochet items I do it myself with my cousin and for beaded items all are done by my great Mom

Shahira Serry is well known with her vibrant strong and flashy colors and strong bold strokes ,specially when it comes to abstract .  She is an Egyptian artist graduated in the faculty of fine arts ,interior design department ,Alexandria university, Egypt ,where she grew up in an artistic atmosphere as her grandmother was an artist surrounding her with authentic oil paintings ,moreover her grandfather is the leader of the art of prose at his time .All of this influenced her to master plastic arts since graduation . Her art reflects her passion for the Arab and Egyptian heritage ,the woman phases and feelings happiness and tiredness ,strength and weakness ,her colors are very strong vibrant full of life even the art piece is telling a sad story ,she is creating the beauty in every touch of her brush or even her finger direct speech on canvas.   She has participated in many exhibitions and art fairs all over Egypt , Uae , France , Sweden , Germany and Rome  Also out in EGYPT at Cairo Opera House  ,and She won the first prize of acrylic painting in France in 2012 in LA BOURBOULE ,with La Palette Du Monde ,les festivals des arts. She is tutoring arts to adults and teens .  Tens of her paintings had been sold in UAE ,Egypt ,Germany ,Lebanon and UK .  She was strongly supported by her grandmother who first noticed her talent in drawing figures and people in dynamic movement ,then her mother who always reminding her to believe in herself and her talent and never give up ,and finally her husband who was the big believer and supporter .  She was born for art wants to spread the passion to the everyone .

أنا طول عمري بحب الكتابة و خصوصا كتابة السيناريو و بعد محاولات سنين اني اوصل لحاجة موصلتش لأي حاجة فدخلت في اكتئاب و احساس فظيع بالفشل و قررت اني عاوزة اهرب من التفكير في أي حاجة تسحلني و ابتديت اركز في ديكور البيت فكنت عاوزة اجيب سجادة و شوفت سجادة كليم خلتني اعشق الكليم فقررت اني عاوزة اتعلم الكليم بس مالقتش كورس يعلمني فقولت خلاص هعمل نفسي من اليوتيوب و الانستجرام و كانت أول مشكلة اني مش عارفة اشتري نول لحد ما لقيت واحد اون لاين بس للاسف وصلي مكسور بس ولا همني و لزقته بالسوليتب و لأني كنت بتعلم من أجانب ع اليوتيوب فكانوا بيشتغلو بأدوات مش موجودة هنا فاخدت مبرد اظافر خشب و لزقته بالسوليتب و اشتغلت بيه و طلعت اول قطعة كليم و أنا من ساعتها صوت الخيوط و هي داخلة في بعض بيعملي راحة نفسية و ساعتها قررت لأول مرة اني لو فكرت اعمل مشروع هسميه نولي عشان النول هو اللي خلاني اتصالح مع نفسي و اكتشفها من جديد بس ساعتها قعدت افكر أيه المشروع اللي ممكن اعمله يشبعني من جوايا يخليني احس اني راضية عن نفسي و اقدر أخرج فيه كل طاقتي لحد ما شوفت بنت أجنبية بتعمل شنط بالكليم و أنا حبيت اوي الفكرة و حبيت فكرة أن يبقى عندي براند شنط على الرغم من أن عمري ما كنت البنت اللي بتهتم بالشنط و مركاتها و موضتها بس انا حسيت أن ده اللي هيوصلني نفسيا للي أنا محتجاه و زي ما هي متعة بالنسبالي أخلق شخصيات من دماغي فهي متعة باردو اني أخلق ديزاين من دماغي و زي ما كان نفسي اآثر في نفسية الناس بالايجاب من خلال اللي بكتبه فممكن باردو اآثر في نفسية بنات كتير و ابسطهم لما يلبسو شنطة مريحة أو مختلفة أو لما تخرج بيها و حد يقولها شنطتك شكلها حلو❤️، بس اول ما ابتديت مشروعي كان في حد بيساعدني أنه يقفلي شغلي بس لكذا سبب قررت من فترة بسيطة اني لازم اعتمد على نفسي و اعمل شغلي كله بنفسي كان خوف و تحدي اني اخد الخطوة دي خصوصا اللي حوالية كانو خايفين اني ادبس نفسي في مكنة و معرفش استخدمها لأني عمري ما اتعاملت مع مكن بس أنا قررت اني لازم اتحدى نفسي و اني اقدر أعلم نفسي من اليوتيوب زي ماعلمت نفسي الكليم و الكروشيه قبل كدا و فعلا جبتها و بعلم نفسي و ده جزء من الحاجات اللي عملتها و بقيت حاسة بثقة بجد و أنا بكتب hand made و بقيت حاسة بمتعة اكتر و أنا بصنع شيئ من اول لآخره و بصراحة مبسوطة بنفسي اني بكتشف فيها حاجة جديدة و اكتر حاجة بساطتني لما ابني قالي انتي احسن واحدة بتعمل شنط😂⁦❤️⁩

 بس أنا حابة اقول اكتر حاجة اتعلمتها من الموضوع ده أن كل واحد فينا جواه قوة و قدرة هو ممكن مش عارفها بس عشان يوصلها لازم يثق في نفسه و يصدقها⁦❤️

و حقيقي أنا لو كان حد من سنتين قالي انتي هيبقى عندك براند شنط و تشتغلي بأيدك أنا عمري ما كنت هصدقه😅

I learned by myself, watched online videos, contacted other designers around the world to help me, I tried and failed and tried again till I made my first collection on October 2019. I am Samar Gobran the owner of Samar Gobran Jewelry.

My story stared when I joined a jewelry class in Dubai in 2009, that was it. I was hooked and since then I was trying to create small pieces but I still needed to learn a lot. In 2017 I left Dubai and came back to Egypt. It took me a few months to settle then I started studying jewelry making in Masagh academy and it was only then that I unleashed my creative self and started working in what I really love. Now I create jewelry in silver and copper with natural stones. My designs are never repeated the same way because I believe in being unique and in  the power of natural stones. 

It’s been almost 5 years and I am finally happy doing what I love.

My Bachelor’s degree was in Interior design, but a passion for jewelry design led me to a Masters degree in jewelry design at the University of NSW, Australia .I also later gained certificates for programs at Studio Jewelers Ltd NY, and Benches on Division, Chicago. So I founded my brand “Samar Designs” dreaming one day to become a professional doll maker spreading love and happiness  by each doll to everyone ❤️   My passion with dolls started from my childhood as a normal little girl in love with soft and tender dolls. As a grown up I used to collect handmade dolls from every country I travelled to, dreaming one day to create my own handmade doll reflecting our Egyptian Traditional culture and heritage. Love sharing with you my collection of handmade dolls including my special first line of Egyptian folkloric ones “ Warda” and “Bahia” as a reflection of the beautiful Egyptian countryside women with their cheerful and colorful galabeya (dress). Each doll is handcrafted and one of a kind, as when it is dublicated it can never be identical  due to the nature of handmade … face features are either handpainted or hand stitched embroidery or both. 4 years ago I decided to follow my passion and shift career from being a patent attorney to becoming a jewellery designer. I graduated from IGI Dubai and became a professional jewellery designer and since then the learning process doesn’t stop, there’s something new to learn everyday. Zarada or “زرده” was founded in 2019. It’s an Arabic word used among all jewelers meaning a jump ring. Jump rings are essential components in every single piece of jewellery and used in so many different ways to connect elements together. It’s a crucial link to all elements just like jewellery is the crucial link to express a woman’s sensation and mood and link it to different occasions.    We at “Zarada” aim to make every single piece an affirmation about who you are and a declaration of “Here’s who I am!”
