Hi, I’m Abeer Allam — a mom of four, a passionate maker, and the founder of Peekadoo, a handmade crochet brand born out of love, necessity, and a deep belief in purposeful play.

 

My journey started when I discovered that my youngest daughter was struggling with fine motor skills. As a mother, I wanted to help her grow, learn, and play in a safe, stimulating way. So I turned to something I’ve always loved — crochet. What began as a personal mission soon grew into a business that now supports other moms and children through carefully crafted toys, outfits, and room decor, all made with natural, hypoallergenic materials like cotton and bamboo yarns.

 

Why Peekadoo? It’s inspired by the game “Peekaboo” — but in our version, the kid has to do! So it's Peekadoo. We believe children learn best when they explore, create, and interact.

 

At Peekadoo, each piece is designed to do more than look cute. Our toys help babies develop essential sensory and motor skills. Our outfits grow with your child. And our room décor adds magic to everyday spaces. Every stitch carries intention, and every character we create has a story to tell.

 

Beyond the products, I’m committed to empowering women through craft. I mentor other makers, helping them turn their talents into thriving businesses — because I believe handmade has the power to change lives.

انا سمر حكيم ،تخليت عن العمل الآكاديمي من آجل مشروعي لتصنيع الحقائب الجلديه الهاند ميد >>تخرجت من كليه الفنون الجميله التصميمات المطبوعه وتم تعييني كمعيده بالكليه ولكني تخليتعن العمل الاكاديمي واطلقت مشروعي لتصنيع الشنط الجلديه اليدوي، جميع الجلود طبيعيه بنسبه ١٠٠٪ ولدينا ورشه خاصه وفريق عمل مجتهد ،شاركنا ف  العديد من المعارض المحليه والعالميه 

 

I am Samar Hakim, a Fine Arts graduate specialized in Printed Designs. I was appointed as a teaching assistant at the Faculty of Fine Arts; however, I chose to step away from the academic career path to pursue my passion and launch my own handmade leather bag brand.

 

All our products are crafted from 100% genuine leather. We have our own workshop and a dedicated, hardworking team that ensures high quality and attention to detail in every piece.

 

We have proudly participated in numerous local and international exhibitions, showcasing our designs and craftsmanship.

My goal when I turned to artistic work was to revive heritage through different eras, from the beginning of the Pharaonic era through the Roman, Persian, Fatimid and Islamic eras until the modern era and to present different techniques during these eras from different arts Such as the art of Al-Shafshi, the repos, the engraving, the engraving, the tuffing, and its formulation in the form of pieces of jewelry using various and various natural minerals and materials such as silver, copper, natural stones and natural leather

لطالما آمنتُ أن الجمال الحقيقي لا يصنع في المصانع الكبيرة، بل يولد من لمسة يد محبة وصبورة. بدأت رحلتي مع فن الصلصال الحراري   بدافع الفضول، لكن سرعان ما تحول هذا الفضول إلى شغف بكل تفصيلة صغيرة وبكل لون يمتزج ليشكل قطعة فنية.

في مرسمي، أقضي ساعات طويلة في دمج الألوان وتشكيل بتلات الورد وتجربة ملامس الأقمشة على الطين، لاحول كتلة صماء إلى قطعة مجوهرات فريدة تشبهك. لا أكرر القطع أبداً بنفس الروح؛ لأن كل قطعة أصنعها هي رحلة مستقلة من التفكير والتصميم والاهتمام بالتفاصيل.

هدفي ليس فقط تزيين إطلالتك، بل امنحك قطعة فنية تحمل في طياتها جزءا من روحي ووقتي، لتشعري بالتميز والثقة في كل مرة ترتدين فيها إبداعاتي
