Vendor Biography

My name is Manal Stino. I am married and a mother of 2 boys. I am an AUC, Business Administration graduate. I specialized in Finance & minored in Economics and that’s the field I worked in the first 2-3 years after my graduation. 

 

I used to love drawing since I was a kid and I was good at it. I started painting at the end of middle school. I used to take painting classes with an artist, I left all my paintings in his studio and unfortunately the artist disappeared right after Secondary 3rd and all my paintings got lost. I was so upset & devastated that all what I painted for more than three years got lost, that I stopped painting for so many years . 

 

Having kids who finish school at 1 pm, plus their studies and sports trainings, I “thought” I had no time to do anything for myself and I simply got stuck into life’s crazy loop, which I always regretted! When I turned 40, one and a half years ago, I decided that if I had to, I will put my life upside down to go back to my passion. 

 

When I went back to painting, it was only because I decided that I needed to do something that I really loved, something that I have always wanted to do, as a hobby. A year and a half ago, I never thought that this will be the best & the most fun job I could ever have. I simply thought I will be painting just for the fun of it, until I got many requests to buy my paintings and many requests for commissioned paintings and this was something I never thought would happen, it hadn’t even crossed my mind.  

 

Since I went back to painting, I am having the time of my life. I admit that this is the best decision I ever took. Since then I have been taking baby steps, trying to teach myself all the time new techniques and different painting styles and I am hoping that soon, I would have my own exhibition, and hopefully have many of you visiting me 😊

 

I am very happy, blessed and proud to say that all the effort I made learning to paint as a teenager and the effort and persistence I put the past year and a half to make things work, paid off and now I have paintings hung in several beautiful homes around Egypt, as well as in Italy, France & the US.
