Heba Crochet is a brand manufacturing handmade clutches and bags with very fine threads.

My team which consists of beautiful and very responsible ladies help me to build my brand , we sit together discussing new and different designs for the bags and we every time bring out the best collection we can.

XAW | WAX

The Story Behind the Logo 

The XAW logo is more than a design, it’s a visual inspired by our Egyptian heritage, sustainability, and beauty. The brand was born from a deep desire to relive and reinterpret Egypt’s rich cultural legacy, where candles and light were central to ritual and everyday life. Inspired by ancient practices, XAW embraces natural soy wax, a clean, eco-conscious alternative that honors the purity of traditional Egyptian oils once used to illuminate temples and homes.

 

The logo itself is heavily inspired by “The Bird Lady,” an iconic ceramic figurine from the Naqada civilization, one of Egypt’s earliest pottery-making cultures. She represents grace, femininity, and spiritual presence, aligning perfectly with XAW’s essence of elegance and depth.

 

Hidden within the logo is a subtle flower motif, representing XAW’s original mission to create a sustainable, earth-friendly brand. The idea was for every element to be reusable, from the clean-burning wax to the container itself. The candle cup were envisioned to have a second life as planters, decorative pieces, or refilled with new wax, creating space for future eco-conscious product lines.

 

While the current container is handmade glass, chosen for its artisanal charm and durability, the commitment to sustainability remains part of XAW’s long-term vision. Every flame lit is a step toward thoughtful living , rooted in history, yet blooming into the future.

While I’m not against conventional medicine, I feel we should turn to it only when absolutely necessary. 

Over the years, I’ve been creating herbal tea blends for myself and my family, and the results have been incredible.

سيِّكْالاجَا

أنا آية جاسر ، نوبية إسكندرانية ، (بكالوريوس تجارة) وحبي للهاند ميد بدأ من وأنا طفلة صغيرة.

أتعلمت الكروشيه من وأنا عندي 10 سنين تقريبا من ماما ♥

ومن يومها، وقعت في حب الحرف اليدوية .. من الكروشيه، للتطريز بالخيط، للتريكو، للبانش نيدل، اللي اتعلمته من أختي من أكتر من 17 سنة قبل ما ينتشر أصلاً في مصر.

 

لكن الشغف ظهر بالفعل لما بدأت أشتغل تابستري – نوع من أنواع الكروشيه بيشبه تقنيات فنية نوبية قديمة ، زي "شغل طواقي بكّار" المعلقات اللي بالخوص.

حسيت إن الشغل ده بيعبر عني، عن جذوري، عن ذوقي، عن هويتي وتراثي النوبي.

لكن من 4 سنين ونص، قررت أرجع لحب حياتي: الكروشيه خصوصاً (التابستري).واشتغلت على نفسي بجد، قعدت سنتين كاملين بشتغل أوفلاين أجهز كل حاجة:✍️ صممت اللوجو🎨 اتعلمت أرسم باترونات خاصة بيا👜 اشتغلت على مجموعة شنط كاملة📦 جهزت كل تفاصيل التغليف والتصويرعلشان لما أطلع للعالم، أطلع زي ما أنا متخيلة بالضبط.

ومن سنتين ونص، أطلقت براند "سيِّكْالاجَا " – مساحة فنية بقدم فيها شنط *هاند ميد تابستري* ، مستوحاة من تراثنا النوبي، لكن برؤية معاصرة وألوان مبهجة قريبة لقلبي، ومؤخراً بقي في شنط بـ البانش نيدل

أسم البراند بتاعي نوبي معناه "حلو أوووي"

ومن يومها وشغلي لقي طريقة لقلوب ناس كتير جوه وبره مصر.

 

سيِّكْالاجَا مش مجرد شنطة…

دي حكاية، وقطعة فن، وهوية ماشية معاكي.

كل قطعة عندنا بتحكي حكاية، ومصمّمة مخصوص ليكي، عشان تكون جزء من ركنك المفضل.

انا مهندسه معماريه في الاساس و لكن بدات رحلتي و حبي مع تصميم ملابس البنات من وقت اما خلفت بناتي الأتنين و مع الوقت لما كبروا و وصلوا لمرحله عمريه محيره جدا.. ما ينفعش يلبسوا من محلات الأطفال و لا ينفع من محلات الكبار.

 وقتها قررت أبدأ أصمم لهم لبس بنفسي يكون مناسب لسنهم , مريح و أنثوي في نفس الوقت.و من هنابدأت فكره URSULA علشان اقدم لبس بنات بستايل بسيط و أنيق

Never thought about drawing and sketching as business, always leaving this zone as my passion, my hobby and my meditation and healing from all chaos in my head. When i was young, i always wanted to be an engineer like my mom, but at the same time i was fascinated by colors, loved to draw and hang my drawings on the wall. 

Growing up, i chose to study engineering, graduated and worked as an engineer. In 2017, i found an oil painting workshop by coincidence and discovered how much painting with a brush can take me to a parallel universe where i get lost in colors. After Covid-19, i took oil painting more seriously and attended professional oil painting classes for 3 years. Finally now, i can call myself a painter.

My crochet journey began as a way to slow down and reconnect with myself and with my creativity.

I found myself constantly looking for an outlet, something that wasn’t on a screen, something that felt intentional and grounding.

As I continued to learn and practice, crocheting became more than a hobby—it became therapy.  Friends and family started noticing my pieces and asked if I could make something for them. Their encouragement planted confidence in me.

From there, my crochet business was born—not out of a plan, but out of passion.

I am Dr. Walaa El Khawas; the founder of Willy's. I am coordinator of drug information centre in sharq district in ministry of health in Alexandria. I took aromatherapy diploma. My business story began when i figured out that i can't find my taste in jewellery because i love necklaces and bracelets made of leather. eventually i started making my jewellery by myself. Later on, after i took the aromatherapy diploma; i started searching for making diffuser jewellery any one can wear and heal at the same time from any illness. I began with diffuser necklace, then Lava beads for necklaces and bracelets. The lava beeds contain minerals and trace elements, wearing lava stone regularly can heal the soul and relieves stress. you can also drop your favourite fragrance essential oil into vocanic rock to better alleviate some negative emotion or illness. I prepare mixture of oils

عمري ما فهمت كلمة "موهبة" لحد ما مسكت فرشة الرسم. سنين طويلة كنت فاكرة إني مش شاطرة في الفنلان مجال دراستي ملوش علاقة بالرسم لكن حبي لتصوير الطبيعة خلاني اجرب ارسم و امزج الالوان 

 

رحلتي بدأت برسم البحر، لأنني معجبة باللون الأزرق لما بدأت أرسم، اكتشفت فرحة وحبيت اشارك الناسشغلي. ده خلاني أعمل صفحة فنية صغيرة، أقدم فيها لمسة فريدة من نوعها تناسب أساليب الناسالمختلفة.
