My crochet journey began when I was just seven years old. My mother, God bless her soul, taught me the art of crocheting while we were living in a remote area due to my father’s work. What started as a way to spend time together quickly became a lifelong passion.

 

Over the years, crochet has become much more than a craft to me — it’s my peaceful escape and creative outlet. Working with colorful yarns helps me unwind, express myself, and find calm no matter what’s happening around me. Every handmade piece I create carries a little bit of that love, patience, and serenity that my mother first shared with me

إحنا ما بنعتمدش على مصانع ولا شغل Outsourcing. كل تفصيلة، من أول القصّة لحد آخر غرزة، معمولة بحب واهتمام. وده اللي بيخلّي Lizo مش مجرد لبس، لكن حكاية عن الشغف والحِرفة.

في قطع بتتعمل كـ unique pieces محدش غيرك هيلبس زيها، وفي قطع تانية بتتعمل بكميات محدودة. لكن في الحالتين، بنركز دايمًا على التميز، الجودة، والتفاصيل اللي تفرق.

ZARAFA – Born from Color, Crafted with Love

Zarafa began in 2023, from a moment close to my heart — designing my little daughter’s first birthday outfit. I had a vision: a cute, colorful tutu skirt, a custom-printed T-shirt, and the perfect matching headband. I created it all from scratch, just as I imagined. And when I dressed her that day, seeing her light up in that outfit filled me with a joy I can’t explain.

It wasn’t just about the clothes. It was the feeling of creating something meaningful with my own hands. That was the moment I knew: it’s time to finally start the creative business I’ve dreamed of for years.

Zarafa is more than a brand — it’s a celebration of color, individuality, and the magic of custom-made pieces.  Anyone who knows me knows I live in color. I’ve never been drawn to plain black and white — instead, I mix shades and tones most people wouldn’t think of combining, and somehow, it always works. My wardrobe is a rainbow, and so is my creative process.

But Zarafa isn't just about my vision — it’s about bringing yours to life, too.

Many clients come to me with just a spark of an idea — a theme, a color, or a mood — but no clue how to bring it to life. That’s where I come in. I listen, imagine, and design exactly what they had in mind — sometimes even better.From custom outfits to personalized bags and kids’ bedsheets, I turn inspiration into something beautiful and unique.

I’ve started this journey with intention, passion, and belief in every detail. Zarafa is built piece by piece, with heart.

المهندسة شيما قطب اتخرجت من كلية علمية ودراستي كانت كلها كيمياء لكن من وأنا طفلة وأنا بحب ال Art والألوان والرسم ونفسي ادخل فنون جميلة لكن ماتوفقتش فكانت نقطة التحول بالنسبة لي بعد التخرج إني درست الجرافيك والتصميم والطباعة ووصلت ل Art Director لحد ما لقيت شغفي الحقيقي بإني أصمم بس للبراند بتاعي واطلع منتج ملموس من تصميمي ابتديت بتصميم الاكسسوارات وعشان كدة أسم البراند Shima Jewelry لحد ما حسيت إني نفسي اعمل تصميمات more catchy وطلعت ب Bookmarks بتصميمات تحفة أنا شخصيا واقعة في حبها خصوصا أني من عشاق القراءة حتي لو مش عندي وقت ليها بس بحبها وبحب الكتب وكان عندي مشكلة دايما مع الشريط الستان اللي بيدوب وبيفك أو أني استخدم كارت أو ورقة عشان اعلم الصفحة اللي وقفت عندها وكانت للأسف من الحاجات اللي بتكسلني عن القراية اهتميت بأشهر أغاني المطربين اللي كلنا بنحبهم زي فيروز وعبد الحليم وأم كلثوم وعبد الوهاب ومحمد فوزي وكمان اشهر افيهات ممثلين الأبيض واسودّ اللي تقريبا كلنا حافظينها زي عبد الفتاح القصري وعبد السلام النابلسي وبكيزة وزغلول وكمان شخصيات رمضان والليلة الكبيرة وأشهر الكُتّاب والشعراء   لينك الانستجرام https://www.instagram.com/shima_jewelery/
