Peekadoo was founded by Abeer Allam at the end of 2022. As an electrical engineer and a mother of four wonderful kids, Abeer discovered her passion for crochet in 2007. She scoured the internet for educational videos in various languages and taught herself how to read patterns. After practicing and perfecting her craft, she began selling her products in Egypt and eventually exporting them to several countries. A turning point came when Abeer’s youngest child struggled with weak fine motor muscles, prompting her to create Peekadoo. Our products are designed to help new moms develop their newborns’ fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and sound alertness through playtime. At Peekadoo, our ultimate goal is to promote the physical, cognitive, and emotional development of infants. Our toys are made from natural fibers such as cotton and bamboo yarns, which are anti-bacterial, hypoallergenic, breathable, sustainable, and long-lasting.
