Al ezz Al daym mirror frame
Arabic calligraphy is considered one of the decorative elements which is used in islamic architecture and and all the applied arts. Egypt played a main role in improving calligraphy from Tulunid to Mamluk period. They used to write scripts from the Quran and prayers (Dua’) in all the stuff which they used in their daily life like cups, plates, jewelry boxes even their hair brush.
AL Ezz AL Daym was one of the most prayers (Dua’) they repeatedly used in their daily life. It means , “May Allah Grant you wellness forever”. I’ve used this Dua’ with this beautiful motif which came from the School/Mousque and Mausoleum of Emir Sarghitmish in Cairo in this mirror frame.
